Workers Comp. Fraud

Workers comp

Workers compensation is a valued form of assistance that can pay for medical expenses, lost wages and other expenses after an employee is injured on the job. While most honest employees benefit from this, a small number of deceptive employees take advantage of this compensation for personal profit. Millions of dollars in fictitious claims are paid out each year causing higher premiums that are draining to the business owners that they in turn pass along to the consumer.

Investigation is imperative in the early phases of a Worker Compensation claim. The facts that relate to an injury accident need to preserve immediately. With the passage of time, memories will fade, witnesses may become unavailable, or facts can become commingled with third parties.

Surveillance is the preferred instrument when a Workers Comp or personal Injury case.

Surveillance can:

– Identify and document the extent of injuries claimed

– Determine if other prior activities may have caused the alleged injury in question.

– Determine and reveal if the employee has obtained further, concealed, employment, during the claim.

– Provide video evidence of the claimant’s activities physical abilities and limitations.
